Greg Drummond is a singer songwriter born and raised in Port Moody B.C. Greg has been gaining momentum in the music industry already earning himself plenty of recognition including CBC searchlight top 10, BC’s peak performance project top 20, and the “Best of BC” award from shore 104.3fm. Greg is getting ready to release his sophomore album entitled “Drive”. I was lucky enough to take a listen to the album, and let me tell you it’s one you will enjoy.

The album opens up with the title track “Drive”. Right away you are pulled in by Greg’s incredible voice and smooth melody. You are also immediately aware of Greg’s amazing talent for song writing. He is a true lyricist. “Singing a Song” is a toe tapping, catchy tune with more of a country feel. And by now you are already fully in love with the album. “Against the Sun” slows it down a little and fills you with a sense of calm. The harmonica has a way of hypnotizing you, and paired with Greg’s deep and captivating vocals it reminds you what music should sound like. The album closes with a track entitled “Worse for Wear”. This song is the perfect end to “Drive” with its beautiful lyrics you are easily lost in the music leaving you feeling content.

“Drive” is definitely one of those albums that takes you to another place, and you just can’t help but love every second of it. I highly recommend it for any music fans collection. Greg Drummond is also getting ready to hit the road in the next few weeks, so be sure to check out his website for a list of upcoming shows. I know I’ll be catching him at his stop in Calgary.
