London, Ontario alt-pop trio, Ivory Hours is about to release their debut album, ‘Morning Light’ on June 9, 2015. The trio is made up of Luke Roes (Vocals/Guitar), Chris Levesque (Bass) and Thom Perquin (Drums).
The album features ten tracks, each full of energy and will have you up and dancing around. The second song, “I Won’t” is the single from the album, and there’s no doubt in my mind why they would choose this track as the first single, as it’s high energy and fun beat had me wanting to hear more from this Canadian trio.
The seventh song, “Like Them” is another song that had me pulled in immediately by the beat, and the vocals are presented in such a way that you feel the need to sing along, and I can tell you that I did. I had this song stuck in my head for the last few days and once you listen, you will see why.
The album closes strong with the title track, “Morning Light”, which carries a slightly different vibe, a bit less pop, a bit more rock. That being said, it doesn’t lack any energy, and I bet this song, along with the rest of the album would be killer in a live show. If you have a chance to catch Ivory Hours at any of their upcoming tour dates, don’t miss out! You can see the dates below.
