Release Date- April 14th 2015
Genre- Folk

Kris and Dee are a folk duo hailing from Kingston Ontario. They have recently released their third full length album in less than five years. The album is called Great Long Game. It’s one of those albums that when you listen to it you truly listen to it. Each song tells a story and will leave you completely lost in the beauty of the album in its entirety.

The album opens with a song called “Beach”, it is written about the joys of the simple things in life, like days off on the beach. “Beach” is the perfect opener for the album with its catchy lyrics and melody. My personal favourite on Great Long Game is “Escape”. It is easily relatable for those days that you just need a break from the every day. Great Long Game is packed full of hypnotizing instrumentals and smooth vocals. It’s the perfect rainy day listen. Kris and Dee have the perfect tone for their genre and will not leave you disappointed.

If you are a folk music fan then I highly recommend Great Long Game as an addition to your collection. Kris and Dee are extremely talented having written, performed and produced the entire album solely by themselves. They are also hitting the road on an extensive tour so make sure you check your local listings. If you are in the Kingston Ontario area be sure to check out the album release show on May 23rd!
