The last weekend in Moncton was very exciting. The town was celebrating its 125th birthday with the FIFA Women’s world cup tour. For the occasion, on Friday 24th, a Simple Plan concert was organized at the Riverfront Park.
For the first part of the show, Maritimes bands/singers were there to heat up the crowd, which was pretty cold due to the heavy rain of that day.
Izzy and the prohibition, Caroline Savoie and Chris Colepaugh brought some awesome songs to the people out there. We had the chance to hear some French music by Caroline Savoie. She also performed a song from her favorite artist, Amy Winehouse. Izzy and Chris made us dance and get in the mood for what was next : Juno Awards winning band SIMPLE PLAN.
As always, Simple Plan brought one heck of a show. They threw us back in the past with old hits such as: “Welcome to my life”, “Perfect”, “Jump” and “I’d do anything”. They also played more recent singles like: “Your love is a lie”, “Jet lag” (Featuring Andee for the occasion), “Can’t keep my hands off you” and “Summer Paradise”, where they threw like 20 beach balloons in the crowd. We can say, Simple Plan never disappoint. They are currently writing their fifth album and they told us during the show that they will be coming back to Moncton after the next album is being released. One thing is sure, I’ll be there ready to jump and I’d do anything to see them live again!
