CBC Searchlight Round 2

Round 2 of CBC’s Searchlight is well underway. With voting closing on Monday (the 20th), competition in each region was cut down to just 25 per region. If you were overwhelmed by all the great acts in round one, hopefully your voting decision was made easier. With only 10 votes to spread across all contestants you have to take your picks wisely.
If there’s still just too many for you to choose from, here’s a few that I really like: Waterfront Fire (St. John’s), Alert The Medic (Halifax), Adam Hanney & Co (Winnipeg), Friends of Foes (Saskatoon), and DB Cooper (Hamilton). We’d love to hear your picks!

I’m Tara and I’m a graphic designer from Newfoundland. I am very fortunate to live in a city where there is a ton of amazing musicians. I’ve grown very fond of the local music scene in St. John’s and some of my favorite bands are ones I’ve met through going to local shows.
