Indie Rock band, The Bandicoots is made up of Nicolai Kozel (Lead Guitar), Andrew Parkinson (Drums), Lorant Polya (Bass) and Justin Ross (Vocals/ Rhythm Guitar). The band is about to release their debut EP on April 14, and we were asked to do a pre-release review.

The EP features four songs, including the newest single, “Mind Your Manors”, which you can find for free on their SoundCloud. The band also recently released a video for “Mind Your Manors”, which you can find HERE.

The opening track, “Just After Dark” had my attention right away, it’s one of those songs that I find myself singing along with not long after hearing it. It’s addictive and that’s a great start to the album. “No Turn On Red” is next up and has a slightly sullen sound, a little less upbeat than the others, but that being said, I enjoyed the diversity that is shown in this release.

The final song on the EP, “A Fit Of Lovesick Despair” is my favourite, it’s fun to sing along with and fully keeps your attention throughout the whole song. I found myself listening to this track over and over. I will be adding this EP to my collection, and I recommend you do too.

Rating: 4/5
