Unfortunately, with many bands members come and go for many different reasons. This Wednesday morning, RocketRocketShip announced that their drummer, Jeremy, would be leaving the band to be able to spend more time with his friends and family.
Jeremy has been a driving force behind the band for the past 5 years, not only as a drummer but doing most of their interviews and being just a generally awesome person. As someone who has seen RocketRocketShip live many times before, I can honestly say that Jeremy was a really fun person to be around. It will definitely be something to get used to not seeing him smiling, laughing and singing along behind the drum set anymore.
Instead of replacing Jeremy, the band will move forward with Paul moving from guitar to drums, while Tyrone will pick up guitar.
And what’s a goodbye without a little extra from some of the bands biggest fans.
“Jero is a deadly guy! He always used to look at the crowd and sing along with us. I wish him all the best in the future, it was a pleasure becoming friends with him over the past 4 years!”- Rianne F.
“I’m going to miss seeing him be so energetic on stage. I hope he knows that his fans support him 110% and we know he’ll keep doing amazing things. You da best Jero!” – Shelby K.
“Jeremy’s always such an upbeat and outgoing person, he definitely brought energy to the shows and I’m going to miss seeing him play! We all wish him the best of luck with what he chooses to do :)“ – Erin O.
“Jeremy was always such a great part of the band. He knew how to get the crowd going. And don’t forget that nobody had hair as great as his! Everyone will dearly miss him”- Heidi M.
“I have no doubt that you’ll be just as successful in your future endeavors as you were performing on that stage. All the best Jeremy! Thanks for being you.” – Ally F.
“Hey Jero. I’m proud of you in so many ways, your talent and enthusiasm has been absolutely incredible to witness these last few years. No matter what path you choose in life, you will always have the support of the Rocketeers. As much as I am going to miss seeing you at the shows, I know that you’re going to go on to do great things. Good luck with everything and never stop shining :)” – Lindsay N.
“Hey Jero. You’re amazingly talented and it’s not gonna be the same not seeing you at shows. Never forget we always gotcho back! Good luck with whatever you choose to do, we’ll miss you!” – Denver N.
Everyone should shoot Jeremy a tweet and wish him the best! @RRS_Jeremy

I’m Tara and I’m a graphic designer from Newfoundland. I am very fortunate to live in a city where there is a ton of amazing musicians. I’ve grown very fond of the local music scene in St. John’s and some of my favorite bands are ones I’ve met through going to local shows.
