The Beaches is an alternative rock band from Toronto, Ontario. The band is comprised of Jordan Miller, Kylie Miller, Eliza Enman McDaniel, and Leandra Earl. Fresh off a tour in the United Kingdom, The Beaches have announced opening for The Preatures in Toronto on Saturday, June 7th and playing at the Riot Fest Toronto in September. On May 6, 2014, they released their new EP entitled “Heights.”

Although the sound of the EP is reminiscent to the Runaways, the tracks on the EP are crafted with well-written lyrically, good vocals, and instrumentals. They are easy to find oneself singing along to. The tracks that I enjoyed the most were “Strange Love” and “Zsa Zsa”.

If you enjoy the Runaways, Metric, and rock music, I recommend to check out the album. To get a taste of the EP before buying it, I would definitely listen to and watch The Beaches’ video for “Little Pieces”, you can see it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ACOYFsDZ7-U
