For the last few weeks, we have been featuring a video of a band or artist doing a cover song, and this week, I have a great one for you.
We all know at least one version of the classic song by Leonard Cohen, and this one is one of the best I’ve heard done by a group of local musicians from Clare, NS. Together, they are not a band, although all of them play in different groups in our hometown, and have been getting together every year to put on a Christmas show, for the last three years.
In this video you see, Charles Robicheau on guitar, and it features the vocal stylings of Melissa Comeau, Daniel Lewis, David Saulnier and Simon Robichaud. The whole song is done perfectly, and gives me chills every time I listen to it, and may I just add, I can listen to this version on repeat for hours, and it never gets old. Be sure to give it a listen, and I’m sure you’ll enjoy!
