Indie Pop band, Keep The Change is from Southern Ontario. The band was founded in 2010, and recorded their first mini EP, “Penny For Your Thoughts” in 2011. The EP included “Mary-Lou”, “40 Nights” and “Homeless”.
Vocalist, Jake Dunning wrote the song, and all proceeds from sales of “Homeless” on iTunes went to help the homeless, after that they went a step further and help their First Annual “Donations at the door” fundraiser, which raised money for the Burlington Food Bank. They have continued to keep up this new tradition of fundraising at shows, and it’s great to see a group of young people who are trying to help and make a change in the world.
Now, they’ve continued to grow as a band, and have recorded a few new tracks, that you can hear on their Reverbnation: http://www.reverbnation.com/keepthechange2010
