This week’s Tuned In Tuesday comes from Vancouver rapper, Anami Vice. He released his second EP with Curtis Monumental, #HelpUrSelf SIDE B, on December 2nd. The four track EP is available on iTunes instead of his website here https://itunes.apple.com/ca/album/helpurself-side-b-ep/id766038572.
If you couldn’t tell by the title of the EP, it is the second part of his last EP release with Monumental, #HelpUrSelf SIDE A. Like his other music, he has ridiculous (in the best way possible) lyrics and catchy hooks, evident in the third track, “Essaicheyetee”, which is my favourite off of the EP.
Anami Vice and Curtis Monumental are up for Best Collaboration on the first annual Canadian Beats Awards with “Super Hard Core”. Anami is also up for Best Collaboration with Fighting For Ithaca on their song “Do What You Wanna”, as well as Best Up and Coming Artist, and Favourite Male Artist. Voting is up until December 29th, 2013 at 11:59 PM AST. If you wish to support Anami as well as all the other artists and bands that have been nominated, be sure to vote at http://canadianbeats.wordpress.com/2013/12/02/first-annual-canadian-beats-awards/.

I’m a Toronto girl born and raised but have been living in Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick since 2010. Music and writing are my two passions, so what better place for me to be than a writer with Canadian Beats? I have been writing for the blog since May of 2013 and have had so many great experiences because of it. I listen to almost every kind of music but my favourites are pop rock, rock, indie, folk, and any other combinations of them. Concerts are definitely my favourite place to be, especially when you’re right against the barricade and can feel the energy from the band and the crowd, everyone singing the same lyrics and moving to the music. I also have a college degree in Business Administration and hope to one day be able to publish a novel.
