This week’s Tuned In Tuesday is a song that isn’t exactly the newest song, but one I think you should listen to. “Acadia” by popular Vancouver band, Marianas Trench, was on the ‘Masterpiece Theatre’ album. Although it was never a single, it was one of my favourite songs off of the album.
It was also one of the more upbeat songs, singing about the house that lead singer Josh Ramsay grew up in, and detailed events from when he was younger. Because it was never a single and it is off of their second album, they don’t play it very often anymore, but I was lucky enough to have VIP for their Face The Music: With A Vengeance tour when they stopped in Fredericton, New Brunswick. During sound check, they played this song as well as a couple of songs off of their first album ‘Fix Me’.
If you haven’t already, I highly suggest you purchase ‘Masterpiece Theatre’, you can do so on iTunes here https://itunes.apple.com/ca/album/masterpiece-theatre/id303819764.
Also keep an eye on all their sites for any information you may need about any of their upcoming releases, as they are supposed to re-release their third album, ‘Ever After’, to the States.

I’m a Toronto girl born and raised but have been living in Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick since 2010. Music and writing are my two passions, so what better place for me to be than a writer with Canadian Beats? I have been writing for the blog since May of 2013 and have had so many great experiences because of it. I listen to almost every kind of music but my favourites are pop rock, rock, indie, folk, and any other combinations of them. Concerts are definitely my favourite place to be, especially when you’re right against the barricade and can feel the energy from the band and the crowd, everyone singing the same lyrics and moving to the music. I also have a college degree in Business Administration and hope to one day be able to publish a novel.
