Anami Vice has finally released his FREE mixtape, ‘#HelpUrSelf SIDE A’, a four song collaboration with Curtis Monumental. The release includes the previously released song, “Let Me Explain” featuring fellow 604 artist Rachael Ashmore of ByStarlight, and three new tracks, “Super Hardcore”, “SWVL” (also featuring Ashmore), and “Reality Show”.
All tracks off of the mixtape are ridiculously catchy and will have you singing along in no time. Particularly “Let Me Explain” and “Super Hardcore”. I don’t know what it is about these songs, but they are addictive. Though the mixtape is slightly different than his last album release for “Are You Serious” (his debut release under Vancouver label, 604 Records), it still follows suit with the catchiness of the songs. Out of the four songs, “SWVL” is so far my favourite. I’m not sure why it stands out to me, other than the infectious beat and background vocals.
To get this mixtape, for free, yes I did say free, all you have to do is go to this website: http://anamivice.bandcamp.com/album/helpurself-side-a and follow the instructions.

I’m a Toronto girl born and raised but have been living in Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick since 2010. Music and writing are my two passions, so what better place for me to be than a writer with Canadian Beats? I have been writing for the blog since May of 2013 and have had so many great experiences because of it. I listen to almost every kind of music but my favourites are pop rock, rock, indie, folk, and any other combinations of them. Concerts are definitely my favourite place to be, especially when you’re right against the barricade and can feel the energy from the band and the crowd, everyone singing the same lyrics and moving to the music. I also have a college degree in Business Administration and hope to one day be able to publish a novel.
