Stretching back to eleven summers ago for this Throwback Thursday, we look at a track off of Tegan and Sara’s 2002 album “If It Was You.” Today’s throwback song is “Living Room.”
Coming out of Calgary, Alberta in 1995, the twin sister act began touring in 1999, driving around in their own car and whatever change was in their pocket. The duo slowly began to grow and mature with its fans, releasing a total of seven albums in their music career.
Their album “If It Was You” was released on August 20, 2002, to favorable reviews. Four singles stemmed from the album including “Time Running,” “I Hear Noises,” “Monday Monday Monday,” and today’s throwback song “Living Room.”
Nowadays, Tegan and Sara are still touring strong and recently finished up a short Eastern Canadian tour with Lights. The three date tour hit St. John’s, Newfoundland, Halifax, Nova Scotia and Moncton, New Brunswick. They plan to finish out the summer by continuing their tour with American band fun.
“Living Room” may be eleven years old, but it is still a favorite in the Tegan and Sara discography. It even holds a spot on their setlist for live shows.
