This week’s Tuned In Tuesday is another song from Walk Off The Earth, “Summer Vibe”. This song is off of their latest album, ‘R.E.V.O’, which was released earlier in 2013. This song just makes me think of summer and wanting to be on a beach, just relaxing. With harmonizing voices and acoustic guitar, this song is sure to get you in the mood to just relax on a sunny afternoon, whether it is on a beach, driving around country roads, or just sitting outside of your house. “Summer Vibe” has an almost country sound to it, especially with some of the instruments providing the background music to the lyrics.
The talent that this band has when it comes to using some of the most random instruments in their songs will never cease to amaze me. I once saw a video from the BBC where they used a toothbrush as one of their instruments, and no, I’m not kidding.
If your summer weather is anything like mine lately, which is not really summer like at all, just lay back and close your eyes when you listen to this song and you can pretend you’re at some tropical beach, leaving all of your worries behind.
Don’t have the song? That’s alright; you can buy “Summer Vibe” and the rest of ‘R.EV.O.’ on iTunes here: https://itunes.apple.com/ca/album/r.e.v.o./id615713439.
Also be sure to follow/like them on all of their websites:
I’m a Toronto girl born and raised but have been living in Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick since 2010. Music and writing are my two passions, so what better place for me to be than a writer with Canadian Beats? I have been writing for the blog since May of 2013 and have had so many great experiences because of it. I listen to almost every kind of music but my favourites are pop rock, rock, indie, folk, and any other combinations of them. Concerts are definitely my favourite place to be, especially when you’re right against the barricade and can feel the energy from the band and the crowd, everyone singing the same lyrics and moving to the music. I also have a college degree in Business Administration and hope to one day be able to publish a novel.
