Jessica Lee releases debut album, Carried Away
The debut album from 604 Records recording artist, Jessica Lee, was released today, on May 28th, 2013. ‘Carried Away’ is a 38 minute, 11 track work of art. The two singles that were previously released with music videos, “Beautiful” and “Save Your Breath” set the tone for the upbeat songs that make you want to dance and sing along.
You can hear the power in Lee’s voice on tracks such as “Until My Heart Stops”, “Hey Ya (Never Let You Go)”, and the beautifully sung closer of the album, “Carry On”. You can also hear similarities between Lee and other female pop powerhouses such as Kelly Clarkson, Katy Perry, and Christina Aguilera.
“Carry On” is not like the rest of the upbeat album. The ballad is backed with more piano than the other songs on the album and conveys deeper emotions, and is also one of my favourites.
