The next chapter of Sloan’s bright and powerful pop-rock legacy will continue on April 6 with the release of Sloan 12.

Famous for their strength in songwriting, Sloan 12, will continue to showcase the strong, individual songwriting by band members Jay Fergison, Chris Murphy, Patrick Pentland and Andrew Scott, with 12 new tracks; including the Pentland-lead new single, “The Day Will Be Mine.”

After forming in 1991, Sloan became renowned across the Canadian music landscape for attracting the spotlight to the Halifax alternative and indie rock scene in the 1990’s.  In the 25 years since their debut, the band has released 11 full-length albums, 30 singles and over 200 songs.

Along with the announcement of new material, the band also began rolling out summer tour dates; including 19 Canadian dates, as well as dates in the US.  Further tour details will be added as time goes on.

Connect with Sloan:

Born and raised with thoughts and aspirations of becoming a famous bassist in Sarnia, ON; Emily Plunkett now lives in Gatineau, QC, and considers National Capital Region home sweet home. A product of the Beatles, MuchMusic and the Southwestern Ontario summer festival circuit (circa 2000), her interest and love in concert photography came almost completely by accident when her journalism program at Algonquin College required courses in photojournalism (and she quickly realized that photos taken at concerts using a DSLR are enormously better than ones she was taking on a point-and-shoot she bought for a trip to England). She is extremely proud of the fact she has seen Sloan in some form or another 25 times.
