Less than two weeks into the New Year and Guylaine Tanguay is already off to a busy 2018. Kicking off January with multiple tour dates and performances, Tanguay is currently scheduled as an opening act for the Saskatchewan dates of Brett Kissel’s upcoming We Were That Song Tour this month. After her return from the prairies, Tanguay will return to the Cabaret du Casino Montreal stage performing La fièvre du country (Country Fever). The new show will run for four shows before it hits the road as well.

La fièvre du country (Country Fever) is inspired by only the purest of country songs and sounds. It is a full 90 minute show that brings you the hits of some of the genres most iconic and loved artists including; Hank Williams, Merle Haggard, George Jones, Kenny Rogers, Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Tammy Wynette, Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, Alan Jackson, Brooks & Dunn, and many others. The show also brings a special addition, which is a tribute to Canadian/Québec artists as; Shania Twain, Willie Lamothe, Renée Martel, Lucille Starr, Marcel Martel, and Patrick Norman. Tanguay shares the stage with renowned vocalist Carol Renaud, nine dancers, and five musicians. La fièvre du country is guaranteed to bring you hit after hit and have you on your feet. Last year over 15,000 tickets alone were sold to La fièvre du country.

La fièvre du country will hit the road in February/March. In April, Tanguay will reprise her role in Ce n’était qu’un Rêve (It Was Only a Dream) which is the successful homage to Céline Dion. The show takes you through Dion’s impressive career through stories, and some of her most successful songs including; “River Deep, Mountain High,” “I Drove All Night,” “The Power of Love,” and the all-time fan favourite “My Heart Will Go On.”

Tanguay released her latest album Mon livre vert in June 2017 and between busy road schedules is continuing to work on new music, including a possible Christmas album. Right now Tanguay is on the road for most of 2018 with dates scheduled until September. We know that we will hear more great things come from this great Québec artist.

Music has touched my soul since day one. Whether it is performing or sitting down with some of the biggest names in music, I can always be found sharing my profoundly tender affection of music with anyone who will listen. Being a music journalist has allowed me to expand my knowledge of music and interact with some of my biggest childhood heroes. From days of radio broadcasting to sitting back, kicking off my cowboy boots and sharing my adventures with likeminded music fans online has been nothing short of amazing. Canada is full of true musical talent and I look forward to continuing to share my adventures in music with you.
