Matt Forbes releases new single “Cry Me a River” from upcoming album, Solitary Man

With his newest album Solitary Man, pending its upcoming release for Friday, October 20th, 2017, Matt Forbes has now debuted the official music video for the album’s first single “Cry Me a River.” Forbes’ version of the Arthur Hamilton penned classic has taken on a new big-band, James Bond 007 style. Coupled with the musical direction of producer/engineer Nicholai Baxter and British arranger Callum Au, Forbes brings “Cry Me a River” to new musical levels continuing to redefine “vintage pop.”

To coincide with the launch of the new single and video, Solitary Man is now available for pre-order through AmazonGoogle Play, and iTunes. When you pre-order Forbes’ new album through iTunes, you get the single “Cry Me a River” instantly! Just a little something to hold you over until the album is released in full.

Solitary Man promises to go into “even bolder, unexpected directions.” With the debut single, and Forbes’ history of creating quality music, I think Solitary Manwill do just that. Solitary Man was recorded over a period of six months at the iconic EastWest Studios and Igloo Music in Los Angeles. Not too bad for a Halifax kid. While some might try to compare him to Matt Dusk or Frank Sinatra, there is no doubt that Forbes has forged his own sound and puts a unique and creative spin on everything he records.
