Adyn Townes (formerly known as Andy Brown) has released his single, “Sad Songs”, and announced a slew of tour dates. The new single is off of his upcoming album which is set for a Spring 2018 release. If this song is any indication of what’s to come, I’m ready for more! If you’re used to his old sound, which has been called “melancholy singer/songwriter style”, this new style is a more energetic sound. Adyn has ditched the acoustic guitar and has moved towards the electric sound. That being said, the vocals that we all know and love are still there.

When asked about the track, Adyn states,

“‘Sad Songs’ is one of the most ‘true to me’ songs I’ve ever written. I’ve written personal songs before, but they’ve focused on the past instead of the present. ‘Sad Songs’ embodies where I’m at now and highlights a very real and honest change in the way I approach songwriting.”

I know that all of us at Canadian Beats are stoked to hear more and are anxiously awaiting the new album, which was produced by Colin Buchanan (Paper Lions, Sorrey) at Hill Sound Studio in Charlottetown PEI.
