Camp Wavelength relocated due to flooding – bringing the magic to the city

Torontonians have all been keeping a watchful eye on the flooding situation over on Toronto Island and this week we learned that Camp Wavelength has been relocated due to the unforeseen circumstances. Moving into the west end of Toronto for this year only, Camp Wavelength: Day Camp in the City will be bringing the good vibes to various venues across Toronto. The festival’s new format will offer ticketed concerts at your favourite music venues and FREE outdoor shows in special locations, featuring already announced musical artists, along with the same magical arts and activities you’ve come to expect from Camp Wavelength.

If you’re bummed about missing out on your time by the lake, the Camp Wavelength crew is teaming up with Red Bull Sound Select to present Camp Cruise – a pre-festival boat cruise aboard the River Gambler August 11, with admission included in an all-access festival pass, which remain at the low price of $64.99 (+ HST & service fees).

The festival weekend will be split into two components: “Day Camp” will take place at a special outdoor location TBA – and will be free admission (with donations gratefully accepted) & All Ages, with a licensed area – while “Night Camp” will consist of ticketed night-time 19+ shows at The Garrison (August 18) and the Longboat Hall at The Great Hall. Single tickets for “Night Camp” shows are just $24.99 each (+ HST & service fees). You can buy tickets here.

Connect with Camp Wavelength

I’ve been involved in music my whole life and have developed a passion for helping out or working in the industry any way I can. I’m interested in helping talented artists gain the recognition they deserve in this crazy business. I am currently studying Communication Studies at York University in Toronto, and working at a local theatre doing marketing and communications, as well as helping out a local festival called Rock the Coliseum. Indie, alt-rock/pop, and metal are my favourites but I’m open to all music genres! If I’m not at a show, I’m doing yoga, grabbing coffee, or looking for some craft beer.
