Canadian Beats Passport – Photo Review – HELLYEAH

Who: HELLYEAH
Where: The Commodore Ballroom, Vancouver BC
When: June 12, 2017
Genre: Heavy Metal

Heavy Metal supergroup HELLYEAH descended upon the Commodore Ballroom on Monday night and they proceeded to blow the doors off of the place! These guys are heavy metal royalty with drummer Vinnie Paul (founding member of Pantera) steering the ship from behind the kit, Chad Gray from Mudvayne on the lead vocals, Tom Maxwell of Nothingface fame on lead guitars, Kyle Sanders on Bass, and Christian Brady on guitars. It’s been almost a year since HELLYEAH released their last studio album Unden!able and they’ve been playing shows all over the map in support of it. I was lucky enough to catch them at the Commodore which is their only Canadian tour stop this go around. Wow! These guys have some serious high energy! Trying to follow Chad around with the camera from the pit was a serious workout and proved to be the most fun I’ve had on a shoot so far.
