Polaris and Lixar partner to present Long List and live podcast

On June 13, Polaris and Lixar will partner to present a special live edition of the Polaris Podcast. The free event will take place in Ottawa at the National Arts Centre (NAC) at 7 PM and is open to the public. The participating roundtable of jurors and special guests, who will be announced in the coming days, will discuss this year’s 40 album Polaris Music Prize Long List, to be revealed that afternoon.

About the partnership, Bill Syrros, CEO of Lixar states, “Music is more than just the backdrop to our day to day. It’s what inspires us to create, innovate, and connect. We’re thrilled to partner with the Polaris Music Prize, who honour the artists that speak to Canadians and the world at large.”

In a similar vein, Polaris founder Steve Jordan says “In Lixar, we are very excited to have a partner that believes in the integrity of the Polaris process, and are true fans of the records that emerge from that process. They are strong believers in music and community, and their support of the Long List and this event are evidence of that support.”
