The New Customs, a duo from Winnipeg have released their latest album, All Walls Fall.  The nine song release features the duo’s talent in the form of multiple instruments, harmonies, and thought provoking lyrics. Emma Cloney and Dale Brown also have a few scattered tour dates from now until September, which you can find out more about here.

The album opens with the title track and an infectious beat that will capture the attention of the listener. “The Old Farmhouse”, a slower song on the album, begins with beautiful, emotional fiddle playing, before picking up the beat, sounding akin to something that would come out of the Maritimes. “Leave The Light On” starts off with Brown’s voice taking the lead, as opposed to the usual coming from Cloney, before the two harmonize in the chorus. The album closes on “Stretched Upon Your Grave” with amazing harmonies between the duo, accompanied by more of the emotional fiddle playing in the background.

This album is definitely something you need to check out if you’re a fan of the band or of the genre, or maybe even if you’re just on the look out for something new to add to your summer playlist. All Walls Fall will definitely make me remember the duo’s name.
