Care to introduce yourself to our readers?

We are Mostly Wanted from Saskatoon, Sk! In our band we have Dan on Bass, Mackenzie is the drummer and I am Jared and I sing and play guitar!

Tell us a bit about your music and writing style

Well, if I was to define us I say we straddle the line between Pop-Rock and Pop-Punk. I would say our writing style is always changing as we look to incorporate new ideas of writing into our music and the writing process but it always ends up with us three in a room just throwing around ideas until we have a song together!

Do you have any upcoming shows? For someone who has yet to see you live, how would you explain your live performance?

We are headed out on a western Canadian tour to support our new single, HEAT starting May 18 – 27 with our friends in White Chocolate Thunder! For anyone who hasn’t seen us live I would say that we bring the party. We have always seen a show for what it is, a show. We’re there to give everyone a good time and a break from everyday life and in that have a good time ourselves. I feel like if our fans can relate to us everyone will be more comfortable and can just be themselves!

If you were asked to suggest only one of your songs for someone to hear, which would it be?

I would say listen to our new single, HEAT. It’s my favourite song we’ve ever released and I can’t wait to play it on tour!

Canadian Beats is all about Canadian music, so who are your current favourite Canadian bands/ artists?

I love that with all this streaming services it is easier to find new bands and be inspired by them, so I feel like I’m constantly changing bands/artists I’m getting into but I would have to say that Seaway is probably my favorite Canadian band right now. This last song we put out was influenced by them a lot, they challenged me to focus more on the grove and flow of a song than to try and write really cool parts. But I’m a big fan of Rarity, Coldfront, Bryan Adams, The Beibs (of course), Shad K and obviously Sum 41 will forever and always be my favorite Canadian band of all time.
