WayHome offers free passes to Fyre Festival, Pemberton Festival attendees

Thursday, WayHome Music & Arts Festival announced that they will be giving away free passes to Fyre Festival attendees. Their goal in doing so is to “provide an experience to those who were unable to have the time-of-their-life at Fyre.” Each ticket purchased for the cancelled Fyre Festival will be honoured with a general admission full weekend pass to WayHome in Oro-Medonte, Ontario.

Yesterday, upon learning about the cancellation of Pemberton Festival after the organizers filed for bankruptcy, WayHome organizers Republic Live extended the invitation to all who had purchased tickets to Pemberton.

In a statement released on the WayHome website, Republic Live promises its mission to bring the festival experience to all, “Our goal remains the same, to provide a time-of-your-life experience to as many people as possible. For the unfamiliar; WayHome Music & Arts is more than a music festival. It’s a community. It’s an escape. It’s an experience. It can be once-in-a-lifetime, but for many, it’s once-a-summer.”

This isn’t the first time Republic Live has offered its help to fellow music fans. Ticket holders to the 2012 Capital Hoedown in Ottawa received tickets to Boots and Hearts, Republic Live’s country music festival, following the cancellation of the 2012 Capital Hoedown.

Fyre Festival and Pemberton Festival ticket holders have until June 30th to redeem the offer by sending a copy of their unique confirmed festival ticket to the following address; ticketing@republiclive.com.  Tickets will be redeemed on a one for one basis and do not include camping, parking or VIP offers.
