Boots and Hearts 2017: Top 5 Canadian Male Artists/Acts

The great thing about Boots and Hearts is they’re sure to showcase some of the best Canadian country talent this beautiful country has to offer. These five artists are a mix between up-and-coming and Canadian staples and they are seriously talented in their own unique ways. They each bring a different take on country music, which means you’ll find at least one out of five acts to enjoy wholeheartedly. Take a look at my top five must-see choices for Canadian male artists at this year’s BH17!

5. JJ Shiplett

JJ has a uniquely raspy voice that is reminiscent of a more traditional country tune. He has a soothing sound that you can’t help but sway to, no matter what song he chooses to sing. He’s definitely one to watch and a must see if you get the chance to.

4. Andrew Hyatt

Andrew is new to the radio waves, but he’s been around just long enough to know what it takes to make it in the business. He’s got the potential to rise fast and go far if you give him a chance! He’s definitely one to check out this year at BH17!

3. Endless Summer

Anybody who grew up in the nineties in Canada (*cough* me *cough*) will recognize these two members who make up Endless Summer. Formerly of the band The Moffatts, two of the four brothers are back and this time they’re singing a little bit of country. I’m actually addicted and I think you will be too once you take a listen for yourself. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed.

2. Doc Walker

The men of Doc Walker have been a Canadian staple in country music for years. They’d been quiet up until recent, but it turns out they were working on a brand new album! You can’t help but love their more traditional country sound, and love for Canadians. They’re the epitome of all things country and best represent Canadians in the best of ways.

1. Chad Brownlee

Chad isn’t a newbie when it comes to performing on the main stage at Boots and Hearts. He’s back with a new single and Ep and he’s ready to hit the stage again. He’s such a great performer live and  worth the listen when you’re taking in this year’s talent at Boots and Hearts 2017! Also – ladies (and gents) he’s most definitely easy on the eyes too…just saying.
