Tim Hortons Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival announces lineup

The stage and starting line is set at Mooney’s Bay June 22 to 25 for the 2017 Tim Hortons Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival.

Bringing together North America’s premier dragon boating regatta and a stellar line-up of free concerts, the Tim Hortons Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival is a multi-day celebration of the arts, sports, culture and heritage that attracts over 75,000 visitors each year.

The Sheepdogs lead the headliners on June 22, with supporting rockers Said the Whale and the Elwins.  After a day of racing on June 23, Vancouver husband-and-wife duo, Dear Rouge, will take the stage; alongside the Zolas and Ottawa-based Kalle Mattson. The weekend’s concert festivities close on June 24 with the soothing sounds of Half Moon Run; with The Darcys, Kasador and Ottawa’s Twin Flames.

The events are free, and spectators are welcome to enjoy the races as well as the concerts.  The races begin at 8:00pm on Friday and continues at 7:00am on both Saturday and Sunday. They will finish up around 6pm on Saturday and 4pm on Sunday.
