Review – Ian Janes

Album:  Yes Man
Release Date:  April 21, 2017

Genre: Country/Blues

Ian Janes did a great job on Yes Man.  Although not necessarily my genre of choice (I am very much a loud aggressive rock chick), I can appreciate other styles of music, and I can say – I LIKE THIS!

For his 4th studio album, Ian has made a solid album.  “Used”, “Broken Record”, and “Long Shot Love” are solid bluesy rock, with great sounding vocals, they will make you want to dance and groove the night away.  I can envision myself downtown Halifax in one of the big pubs packed with people while these songs are blaring on stage.  They are great pick-me up songs!

“New Words”,  “Any Fool”, “Country Song” and “Lying Awake” are beautiful ballads that will not only make you fall in love with the lyrics, but with the one you are holding as you dance the night away, or stare up at the stars on a clear night.

Listening to this album will put you in the mood for a great night out with friends to kick back, relax, and unwind after a long week at work.  If you like blues/rock/country, you will love this gem from the East Coast!
