Saskatoon Saskatchewan Jazz Festival Announces 2017 Ticketed Lineup

Since 1987, one of the highlights of the Saskatoon festival and event circuit – and must see for any music lover at heart – is the SaskTel Saskatchewan Jazz Festival.

Running this year from June 23 to July 2, the SaskTel Saskatchewan Jazz Festival is excited to announce the entire 2017 ticketed lineup including artists playing at the TD Mainstage, Broadway Theatre, and the iconic Bassment Club.

The second largest festival of its kind in Western Canada, the Saskatel Jazz festival has been a hotbed for music fans with a soul for jazz, and an eclectic ear.  This year proves to be no different!

This year’s diverse lineup includes such acts as Feist, Ziggy Marley, Walk off the Earth, Brett Kissel, Amanda Marshall, Ms. Lisa Fischer and Grand Baton, Michael Franti and Spearhead, Serena Ryder, Low, and Donny McCaslin Group.

Besides this year’s lineup, the Sasktel Jazz Festival is pleased to offer a “Build Your Experience” Bundle allowing festival fans to receive 15% off when purchasing tickets for 3 or more shows. The “Build Your Experience”, like Choose Your Own Adventure with only good endings, is available until 11:59 pm on Wednesday May 31st.

A new bonus offer for 2017 is festival ticket holders that book before May 31st with hotel partners the Delta Bessborough, The James Hotel, and the Sheraton Cavalier will automatically be entered to win a $100 gift card for Midtown Plaza as well as receiving special discount offers.  A gift card will be drawn for each participating.

To encourage up-and-coming music lovers, children 7 years old and under are admitted for free with any adult ticket holder to a maximum of two children per adult to any TD Mainstage show. Youth aged 8 to 12 are eligible to receive 50% off the regular price of a TD Mainstage show.

The Riz is a prolific multi-genre songwriter, lyricist, writer and bassist for “Demolition Rock” sensation Ultimate Power Duo. A staple of the Saskatoon music scene, he has toured extensively across Canada, the U.S. and the U.K. The Riz is also the composer and saxophone player for R. Muttering, an avant-garde soundscape improvisational electro-acoustic performance art and recording group. Besides his Bachelor of Music in Music Education (B. Mus. (Mus. Ed.) / B. Ed. (Mus.)) from the University of Saskatchewan, he has amazing comic and vinyl collections.
