Social media is an essential part of the music industry and has transformed the dynamic between artist and fan. So many artists use a variety of social media platforms to connect with their fans but there are certain musicians that have taken their social media game to the next level.  If you aren’t following them already, we think you should be, so check out our list below!

There is no question why country artist, Brett Kissel was awarded Interactive Artist of the Year, 2 years in a row for the Canadian Country Music Association awards. The man has his social media game mastered.  Whether he’s doing posts about music, his family or something completely random, he’s got the attention of his 49K Twitter followers, 47K Facebook friends and 43K Instagram followers.

Hamilon, ON based five piece band, Arkells has a strong social media presence. I’ve been told that lead singer, Max Kerman mans the socials, and boy does he do it well. The band is constantly posting photos to Instagram, and even running social media contests, like their most recent, “My Hearts Always Yours” cover contest, where they presented one lucky person a golden ticket to any/all of their shows in 2017! With 69K likes on Facebook, 37K followers on Instagram and over 50K on Twitter, the band is clearly doing something right!

Though based in Nashville, Robby Johnson is definitely Canadian, born and raised in Quebec. Robby is the master of all things social media, and he is one of the few artists that takes time to answer as many fans as possible via his platforms. With 11K followers on Twitter, 126K on Facebook and a growing amount on Instagram, that is no easy feat. If you aren’t already following this mega talented country artist, you should do that now!

Ontario based rock band, The Elwins have a growing social media base, and it’s no wonder why. The band posts multiple times a week, whether it be a photo, an upcoming show or once in a while even a post about Feurd’s awesome ‘stache. If you’re looking for a band that is not only dedicated to their music, but also their social media, The Elwins have what you’re looking for!

Ria Mae is became a household name when her debut single, “Clothes Off” made it big. This talented Sony Music Canada pop artist knows what she’s doing both in her music and on her socials. Constantly updating and interacting on Twitter, Facebook & Instagram has garnered her over 4000 followers, and that number will surely grow! It’s always nice when an artist gives the fans that inside look at their lives, and Ria certainly does that!
