The Wild, a rock band from Kelowna, released their new EP, “GxDxWxB” on Tuesday. On first listen, I have already become a fan.

The Wild has roots both in blues and punk music, but spin it in a rock-and-roll type of way. This unique sound can pull you in within minutes.

My favourite song would definitely have to be ‘Road House’. It’s one of those songs that you can head bang and dance to at the same time. Okay, you have to be really skilled to do that but you get my point. It is super catchy and upbeat, yet has that rock root through and through.

Another favourite is the song ‘Party ‘Til Your Dead’. This is where you can hear some blues in the guitars, but the vocals bring it back to rock. Though, how they sing that fast I will never understand.

Itching for a classic rock song in this modern world? I recommend ‘Slow Burn’. It reminds me of those songs that you hear when you turn on your favourite local rock station, roll down the windows and hit the highway and you know it’ s going to be a good day.

If you haven’t heard of these guys, or downloaded this album, you’re missing out. It is definitely one I will be adding to my phone and listening over and over.
