Jim Galloway, former front man of band White Heat and current singer/songwriter from Saskatchewan has released his album ‘These Are the Good Times’. Comprised of mainly acoustic guitar, it has an overall relaxed vibe to it. Influenced by music greats such as Peter Frampton, Doobie Brothers, Steely Dan, and David Bowie, this album is sure to please.

Smooth vocals and obvious experience in making music makes this album very pleasant to listen to. If you wanted to get a feel of the album, the best songs to check out would be “Drown in a River of Doubt”, “These are the Good Times”, “Morning Rain”, and “Where do we go from Here”. I feel they show off the slower versus faster songs, and quieter versus louder ones

Not knowing much about Galloway, I wasn’t sure what to expect from the album, but I was definitely pleased by what I heard. ‘These are the Good Times’ and its catchy music and lyrics are certainly worth checking out. If you’re like me, you’ll be very impressed.
