Winnipeg Metal band, Psychotic Gardening has released their new album, “Hymnosis”. The band features Gillishammer (Vocals), Chuck Labossiere (Vocals/ Rhythm Guitar), Andrew Wiens (Lead & Rhythm Guitar/ Backup Vocals), Mike Janssen (Bass) and Matt Penner (Drums).

This album is going to be absolutely loved by “metal heads”, it has a strong death metal presence. The vocals are dark and deep, and as I’ve done my research, I would have to agree with some of the other reviewers, such as “The Collegian” saying that the band combines equal parts of death, doom, and black metal.

Out of the nine songs on the album, I find the fourth“Mindfold” is the one that sticks in my head, the guitar stylings are the focus for me on this track, complimenting the other parts of the song perfectly.

On top of the original songs on the album, the band has included a cover of “Death” Open Casket, which they also shot a video for, you can see it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Cefyr6i2Zw

I can see that this album will appeal to fans of all types of Metal, and if you are a fan of this type of music, I recommend you give Psychotic Gardening a listen.
