Scott Jones was stabbed this past Thanksgiving weekend  in New Glasgow area.

On November 22nd 6 venues and over 40 artist teamed up on Gottingen Street to bring us Gottingen for Scott Jones.
I attended a show for the fundraiser at the Bus Stop Theatre. Artists playing included Neon Dreams, Nicole Ariana, Cam Smith, Quake Matthews and more.
Although there were very few people in the room for Neon Dreams set they still put tons of energy into the show. They performed ‘Halifornia’ and  ‘Impossible’ as well as some new songs! For such a small crowd they did a really good job and put tons of energy into their set.
Nicole Ariana and Samm Splash had the second set of the night. This was my first time seeing them perform live together. They both have really beautiful voices that go well together.
Quake Matthews had a short set because he was playing another show with Kardinal Offishall shortly after his set. He had the whole crowd dancing. He played his newest song ‘When I’m Gone’ as well as some off previous albums.
Cam Smith brought a few special guests on the stage for a couple songs. Thrillah Kane came on with him to perform a new song called ‘Ninjas in the Night’ as well as Jay Mayne for a song. Again, it was my first time seeing him perform live and it was exactly like the videos and stories I’ve heard.
Very proud of everyone involved. Halifax’s music community was able to raise over $10 000 for Scott’s cause!
