Throwback Thursday – The Moffatts

Throwback Thursday - The Moffatts

By: Tara Thompson

The Moffatt brothers, Scott, Clint, Bob and Dave, release Misery in 1999 when they were only 15 and 16 years old.

I remember being 8 or 9 years old and thinking this song was such a jam. I’m not afraid to admit that it’s still on my iPod almost 13 years later. My local radio station has an annual Pay for Play event where you donate money to charity and they’ll play absolutely any song you want. This year, I heard Misery on while I was in a drive thru picking up some supper. I’m glad to know other people still want to hear it as well.

I’m Tara and I’m a graphic designer from Newfoundland. In 2004, I found out who Hedley were are they became my first favorite band and 11 years later they still have that top spot for me. I am very fortunate to live in a city where there is a ton of amazing musicians. I’ve grown very fond of the local music scene in St. John’s and some of my favorite bands are ones I’ve met through going to local shows.
