Music Monday: Higher and Higher

For this week on Music Monday I want to tell you a bit about a band I just came across and I am really enjoying.

Higher and Higher is a rock band from Edmonton, founded in March 2013. The band features Robbie Mcweeny on Vocals, Riley Witiw on Guitar, Mack Greening on Guitar, Derek L’Hirondelle on Bass and Sean Torgalson on Drums.

They released their single, Queen of Hearts for free download on Bandcamp on April 7, 2013. It’s a great song. http://higherandhigher.bandcamp.com/ You can also get their self titled EP on iTunes: https://itunes.apple.com/ca/artist/higher-higher/id636994803

I hope to feature them more on here, and support yet another great Canadian band, but until then, check them out on twitter: ( @HigherBand) and Faceook: https://www.facebook.com/HigherAndHigherMusic

-Jenna Melanson- Canadian Beats

I’m Jenna, and I am the founder and editor of Canadian Beats. I have had a strong love for Canadian music, which started with Hedley. I have a passion for promoting these talented Canadian bands and artists, and that’s how Canadian Beats came to be. I am so proud of what it has become over the last few years, with many talented music lovers and writers coming together to spread the word of Canada’s music.
